Short Bio: Dr. Avi Karsenty received his PhD degree in Applied Physics/Material Science (Microelectronics/Electro-Optics) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2003. His research focuses on nanoscale electro-optical coupled devices. He has over two decades of experience in the high-tech industry, sixteen years of which were spent in engineering and management positions at Intel. After returning to academia, he served as head of the department of Physics/Electro-Optics Engineering at JCT from October 2014 to September 2018. Dr. Karsenty is a Senior Member of the IEEE and OSA, and has received around 40 awards in various areas of engineering and physics.

Dr. Avraham Chelly
Dr. Avraham Chelly received the MSc. degree in Material Science from Université Louis Pasteur, France (1992), and Ph.D. degree in Solid-State-Physics from Université de Haute Alsace, France (1997). He held a Postdoctoral position at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Working as a research engineer at the Microelectronics Laboratory (2004), he moved to Bar-Ilan University, where he established the Advanced Semiconductor Devices Laboratory. He is involved in nanoscale electro-optics devices’ research and lectures.
Dr. Michael Bendayan
Dr. Michael Bendayan received his Ph.D. degree at the Technion Institute. He is part of the research team under the supervision of Dr. Avi Karsenty. He is now Professional Fellow at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems LTD.
Dr. Benny Adoram
Dr. Benny Adoram (Grossman) has obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Physics at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (HUJI) in 2002, His M.Sc. at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 1992 and his Bachelor degree in Electro-Optics from the Jerusalem Collage of Technology (JCT) in 1985. Dr. Adoram has extensive experience with Infrared detectors, micro-electronic device fabrication, fiber-optics and Electro–Optics systems. Dr. Adoram has lead demonstrator #3 of “Optipac” consortium. Other fields of interest include design of RF filters and EMI/RFI testing. Presently employed by Elbit Systems EW and Sigint - Elisra
