NSOM Photodetector

Detector for near-field scanning optical microscopy

ALEO is developing a new type of photodetector for NSOM which uses a trapezoidal silicon Schottky diode with a sub-wavelength aperture as both a scanning tip and sensing element. Electro-optical simulations show promising results towards the fabrication of a new generation of these photodetector devices.
